Examples for filters over 100.000 L
For ponds with bigger water volumes the
right dimension has to be calculated. Most of the time this affords
a customized construction, that is built to fit the conditions on
site. The filterbasins are made from GFK as well as concrete. It`s
necessary for optimum filter capacity to have a functional waterflow
between pump, filter and pond, this should already be planned when
digging the pond itself. Because for garden ponds of this size filters
are customized the decision and planning has to take place always
on site.

On the following page we would like to give some examples for filtersystems
of dieferent demensions, together with the alternative solutions
of placing them (sedimentation and trickling) together with pumps
and plumbing.
Please note here the installation of the
sedimentation filter. The basin is equipped with a submerged filter
and five professional UV-C
burner systems. The filtervolume is 15.000 L and the capacity
is calculated to support a 1.000.000 L pond. The basin is buried
to the rim in the ground and covered with wood paneling on top,
to be able to access the filter.
Here you can see a GFK-basin of a customary
filter that already existed on site. The customer wished that it
was to be equipped with our new filter technology. The old interior
(sponges, brushes, lava stones) had to be removed for the construction
of the new maintenance free filter. In return the diameter of the
pipes were enlarged to provide a better flow rate and in addition
high performance UV-C burner
systems were included.

Here a smaller trickling was installed, because the pond was to
big with its 160.000 L for normal modulefilter. The sedimentation
was constructed at a different setting.

For a pond of 350.000 L a bigger
Trickling was constructed, with green coloring to fit the clients
needs. |

Construction of a big system with a filtervolume
of 25.000 L, for a pond of 1.000.000 L.
Out of structural reasons concrete was used to construct the basin.

A second advantage of concrete
is the shorter construction time of two days, and the lower costs
of concrete basins versus GFK-basins.
You can witness here the arrangement of the concrete elements and
the filling with filter material. . |

An assortment of different locations for pumps, depending on the
circumstances on site the pumps can be installed ducts, filter chambers
or pumphouses.
These kind of pumps are used because of their long life, the minimum
enrgyconsumption and their high performance.
